The New York State Network for Youth Success administers the New York State School Age Care (SAC) Credential, which promotes quality services to children and families by providing specific standards, training, and evaluation for afterschool professionals.

Training for the SAC credential is available in a variety of formats –  face-to-face programs or virtual-live courses offered by local host agencies, or through the asynchronous distance learning component

As of today, all SAC Coursework will only be good for two years.  A credential candidate will have exactly two years between the time they complete their course(s) and the time they submit their request for visit.  Should more than two years lapse, the candidate will be responsible for taking the course over again prior to submitting their request for visit.  The 2022 SAC Manual will reflect this change.
