Professional Development

The Network for Youth Success gathers resources to make it as easy as possible for you to pursue your professional development. In addition to credentialing youth-serving professionals, we provide training and technical assistance to programs, hold webinars to inform the field, and host an annual conference for professionals every spring. More details about each of these approaches follows below.

Site Leader Institute- Professional Development for Site directors, program directors, or other new site-level leaders in afterschool, summer, expanded learning, or grant-funded programs

The Network for Youth Success can bring quality professional development directly to your program or region. Our training involves short, one-time sessions on topics related to issues in the profession, as well as longer multi-day sessions to train people in skills and practices. For details, including sample workshops and topics, visit our Training for Afterschool Professionals page.

Research, practices, trends, and news can be difficult to stay current with. Our webinars bring the latest and greatest of these to you directly through your computer and phone. By bringing thought leaders, national figures, and local success stories to the field via the Internet, you can stay involved with what is going on in expanded learning time without leaving your workplace. Our schedule of upcoming webinars and our archive of past sessions can be found on our Webinars page.

Our annual conference is held every spring to bring the field together for networking, learning, and sharing. This statewide conference is held over four days, to maximize your opportunities to connect. As a service to you, our website also features information about national and state conferences for youth-serving professionals. Visit our National & State Conference page to see upcoming conferences hosted by our partners.
