Our Interim CEO, Alli Lidie, was published today in the Times Union, raising urgent concerns about the federal freeze in 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) funding—and what it means for youth and families in New York and across the country.🔗 Read the full piece: www.timesunion.com/opinion/article/freezing-funds-after-school-programs-hurts-kids-20761217.php 21st CCLC programs are lifelines—offering academic support, enrichment, and a safe, engaging environment after school. In New York alone, nearly 1.4 million students benefit from these programs. But continued delays in funding threaten to disrupt services, create instability for working families, and limit access for those who need it most. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes—sharing action alerts, providing advocacy toolkits, meeting with decision-makers, and joining national partners to call for the release of these vital funds.💥 You can help too: Tell lawmakers to protect 21st CCLC → bit.ly/protect-CCLCWe’re proud to stand up for afterschool—and the children, families, and educators who depend on it.#SaveAfterschool #21stCCLC #AfterschoolMatters #YouthDevelopment #OSTFunding #NYSYouthSuccess ... New York State Network for Youth Success

The federal administration has just announced that it is freezing $6.8 billion in federal education funding, including $1.4 billion intended for before- and after-school programs– known as 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC). New York State receives just over $105 million for 152 CCLC grantees who serve almost 1.4 million students, primarily in high-poverty and/or low-performing schools. Please take action and tell policymakers that this funding must be released immediately.win.newmode.net/afterschoolalliance/releasethefunds?utm_source=brevo&utm_campaign=July%201%20Acti... ...
