We are grateful to our partners at PASE for taking the lead in coordinating the NYC Regional Network.
The Partnership for After School Education (PASE) is a child-focused organization that promotes and supports quality afterschool programs, particularly those serving young people from underserved communities. In addition to resources, PASE offers professional development opportunities, including an annual conference.
Coordinating Organizations:
There are many coordinating organizations for afterschool programs in New York City.
The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) administers funding streams for afterschool in New York City, including the Comprehensive After School System of New York City (COMPASS) and School’s Out New York City (SONYC). DYCD provides technical assistance for their grantees.
ExpandED Schools (Formerly TASC) brings schools and communities together to expand the school day. TASC offers training to COMPASS and SONYC programs.
The New York City Department of Education (DOE) has a 21st CCLC Technical Assistance Resource Center that provides assistance and resources for recipients of 21st Century Community Learning Centers funding.
