DESCRIPTION:Join Jackie Farmer for a Director Training on SEL covering OCFS areas 1 and 3. \nDescription \nChildren need social emotional security throughout their development. As children grow up\, it can become difficult to help them effectively deal with the real-life challenges they face. This training explores the skills children need to be successful and the ways out of school programs can help guide them. \nPolicies \n◆ This training is offered to you at no cost through funds from the Capital Region Expanded Learning Opportunities Network. ◆ Those who register and do not attend or leave early will be charged a $20.00 fee. ◆ Those not registered (including children) will not be permitted into the training space. ◆ Trainers have the right and responsibility to refuse credit for attendance to anyone who does not stay for the entire session\, or who does not participate fully. ◆ A $25 fee will be charged on all returned payments.  \nPhoto Release \nI hereby release and hold harmless Network for Youth Success from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the images specified above. I further acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I will not receive financial compensation of any type associated with the taking or publication of these photographs or participation in Network for Youth Success marketing materials or other Network for Youth Success publications. Using trauma informed care research\, Timothy will explore how afterschool programs can be safe places for all children. Emphasis will be on practices in afterschool\, including interactions with children and program development. This workshop is for all afterschool\, summer\, and expanded learning staff who want to integrate trauma-informed practices into their program. \n  \nThis will be held in the Zoom platform and will cover OCFS areas 1 & 3\, CBK areas 1 & 4. \n  \nThank you to The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation\, WNY COVID-19 Community Response Fund\, and the Office of Children and Family Services for making this virtual training possible.
