Many afterschool professionals have to handle challenging behaviors on a regular basis. In this workshop we will identify behavior challenges we may see in a school-age setting and we will unpack them to discover what is behind the behavior. Based on real-life scenarios, we will have discussions around proactive strategies to stop the unwanted behaviors before they start, and what to do once the behaviors have begun.

Join trainer Timothy Fowler in this engaging exploration of techniques to create positive social environments where children learn to manage their own behaviors.

This session will count for two (2) hours of OCFS training credit (CBK 1,4; OCFS 1,3). Emphasis will be on techniques that can be applied in school age care settings.
