This session will examine gender and sexuality through an Indigenous lens, with a focus on the impact of colonialism on queerness and gender equity in Indigenous communities. Participants will gain a more nuanced understanding of the unique challenges faced by 2Spirit, Queer, and Trans Indigenous people.
