The federal administration has just announced that it is freezing $6.8 billion in federal education funding, including $1.4 billion intended for before- and after-school programs– known as 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC).
New York State receives just over $105 million for 152 CCLC grantees who serve almost 1.4 million students, primarily in high-poverty and/or low-performing schools. ![]()
