Taking control of the emotions that shape our lives can have powerful effects. Emotional intelligence (EI) is recognizing and managing our emotions, behaviors, and impulses and applying this knowledge to our staff and program participants. In this workshop, participants will gain a practical understanding of how our emotions impact program quality and how to guide support staff to provide nurturing spaces for young people. Using the Emotional Intelligence framework, directors and program supervisors will learn to manage their emotions effectively. This skill directly translates into effective leadership, allowing you to lead with empathy and understanding, creating a more supportive environment for your staff and program participants.
