WAYNE M.O.S.T.
Mission
Maximizing Out-of-School Time (M.O.S.T.) is a network of providers who connect to focus on afterschool, expanded learning, and enrichment opportunities for children and youth in Wayne County during out-of-school-time. This network will help unite youth advocates across our communities to celebrate success, share best practices, and build sustainable vehicles for positive youth development across Wayne county.
About
M.O.S.T met for the first time during April 2016 as a large group. Prior to that, the structure for M.O.S.T. was developed by the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Advisory Board. This Advisory Board consisted of key partners including Cornell Cooperative Extension, Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth, Wayne County Action Program (both Youth & Family Intervention Programs and Advantage Afterschool Programs), Literacy Volunteers, Scarlet Thread Ministries, Lyons Community Center, Lyons Central School District, Clyde-Savannah Central School District, Newark Central School District and North-Rose Wolcott Central School District, and Evalumetrics Research. This Advisory Board agreed to expand duties to become the Executive Team for M.O.S.T. and now meets as a group that continues oversight and council for the 21st CCLC Eastern Wayne County Consortium grant project, while it also looks to support and expand out-of-school-time opportunities across Wayne County. This expanded focus is invigorating longstanding teams with renewed purpose and fostering the development of new partnerships.
