Danette Campbell-Bell is a highly skilled Youth Development Practitioner, Consultant, Trainer, Instructor, Coach and Mentor with over 20 years of experience in developing, implementing and managing creative, quality youth programs with a track record of high performance outcomes. Danette is a champion, advocate and voice for children and youth.
As Principal Consultant at Campbell-Bell Consulting, Danette has the privilege of providing practical solutions, strategies, supports and services to youth serving organizations and youth work professionals throughout Rochester, NY and other regions. Clients include: The City of Rochester Department of Recreation and Youth Services Girl’s Coalition, The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council- Youth Voice, One Vision, The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, The Rochester Capacity Building Network for Youth Program Quality, R.O.O.T.S. and The New York Network for Youth Success.
She is also Managing Partner at Strings For Life, LLC as well as Project Founder and Director of the Strings For Life Music Project, a collaborative partnership with The Campbell BrothersÒ, Love Fellowship Worship Center/Love Ministries, Inc., Nazareth College’s Community Youth Development Major Program, The Frederick Douglass Toastmasters Club, and supported by Robert RandolphÒ.
Possessing an extensive background in positive youth development, Danette holds many certifications in this area which include the following: Certified Youth Work Methods Training of Trainers, Certified External Assessor & Quality Coach for Youth and School Age YPQA, Certified Trainer of David P. Weikart Youth Work Management Series, Advancing Youth Development Basics Trainer, Service Learning As a Youth Development Strategy Trainer, Youth Development Group Work Series Trainer, Certified Master Observer and Research Project Associate, NYS School Age Care Credential Co- Instructor, Advisor and Endorser for New York State Network for Youth Success, Certified Trainer for Strengthening The Black Family – Center for Improvement of Child Caring and Trainer of Trainers for Introduction to Trauma Sensitive Schools through CCSI of Rochester, NY.
She served as Co-Chair of the Youth Services Quality Council of Rochester-Monroe County from 2011-2013 and was the recipient of the 2013 Quality Leadership Award for YSQC. Danette currently serves on the following boards, councils and committees: The Advisory Board of The Rochester AmeriCorps Program, Advisory Council to the Community Youth Development B.S. Degree Program at Nazareth College, YSQC and GRASA (Greater Rochester After School Alliance). She also serves on the Leadership Team of Love Fellowship Worship Center, oversees the Couples’ Ministry with her husband and is a worship leader there as well. Danette is a 2016 graduate of the United Way’s African American Leadership Development Program and proudly serves as the Class Representative.
Danette has been married to Walter Maurice Bell for 12 years. They are the proud parents of Daniel Maurice Bell, their 2-year-old son and special miracle!
