New York State Network for Youth Success: Power of 3:00 Ambassadors

The Power of 3:00 Ambassadors program hosts passionate afterschool, summer, and expanded learning providers and supporters from across New York State to work directly with staff from the Network’s Policy Department to develop the advocacy and media skills to become effective advocates for the youth they serve.

Afterschool advocacy is critical as we work to support the field and New York’s youth.

The voice and perspective of the afterschool professionals is critical to informing decision-makers about the needs of school-age child care programs. This year, we want to elevate the voices of the field to address current challenges. There is a significant opportunity to highlight how valuable school-community partnerships are to supporting New York’s children and families and to reimagine the landscape of traditional childcare and schooling.

This year, we welcomed seven driven and passionate supporters of afterschool to work closely with the Network’s Policy Department over the course of a year to become devoted afterschool advocates.
