The Network for Youth Success supports legislation that will increase access to high-quality afterschool and summer programs. During the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions, we supported several bills.

Bill A6791 Peoples-StokesS5447 Stewart-Cousins: Provides $25 million to fund the planning, implementation, improvement and evaluation of community schools in New York State.

Bill A3984A Aubry/ S4491 Klein: Authorizes the use of school facilities by not-for-profit or charitable organizations for the operation of after-school programs

Bill A7750 Lupardo/ S5627 FelderProvides that the provision of school age child care in school buildings shall primarily be subject to the regulations of the Commissioner of Education

Bill A3058 MorelleS544 Gallivan: Provides relief on statewide central register clearance fees for tax exempt organizations

Bill A8918 Peoples-Stokes/ S6806 Grisanti: Provides for the local social services district to notify the Office of Children and Family Services when there is a change in the eligibility level
